Hello and welcome

Hi and welcome to House Curious

I'm so glad you have dropped by to say hello. You're curious and I love that. I'm looking forward to getting to know you and hopefully having the pleasure of meeting you at one of our up and coming workshops or events. Here I want to share my everyday with you. The good, the bad, the pretty and ugly... well it will never be that ugly. It's a place where we can be real and get to know each other. It's also a place for inspiration and creativity and a chance to meet the makers and shakers that I partner up with.  

Sitting here writing this blog post I'm pinching myself because this has been a long old journey to get to this point. You name it, we've been through it. I've been at breaking point, thinking what the hell am I doing trying to juggle being a mum, doing a year long house renovation and then some, setting up a new business plus all the daily crap that we go through. See, I told you we were going to get real. The thing is when House Curious was just an idea in my head it felt like a huge undertaking and I had all those usual anxieties about setting up a business. Oh god, the fear was so real. And what if it didn't work out and what happens if I fail and everyone will think I'm a loser? You know those kinds of fears. An incredible thing happened though once I decided to give fear the heave ho and actually put my energy into making my dream a reality, that fear turned to excitement and determination. Nothing is ever perfect but I've learnt if you put your heart and soul into something you will make it happen no matter the obstacles you face. I guess my message is (without sounding too worthy!) just do it and follow your dreams. Don't let anything get in the way.

I've already met so many inspiring people on this little journey of mine and I feel so reenergised and happy because finally I'm being true to myself and doing what I love. I can't wait to introduce you to some of the lovely and talent people I have met along the way. You'll be able to meet them here but also at our workshops.
